    Description

    "THE ROAD TO FALLEN TIMBERS"
    The U.S. Army in Action
This is a wonderful Department Of The Army Poster, printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office in 1953, commemorating the Battle on the Banks of the Maumee on 20 August 1794 when Anthony Wayne and his Legion advanced into Indian Territory, tracked and destroyed the foe, clearing the way for the new nation to expand into the Ohio Valley.
This item is # 2  in a series of posters about the History of the United States Army and it bears the emblem of the U.S. War Office. It also has framing instructions at the bottom.
The over-all size is 20" by 24" and the condition is very good with minor wear and slight age yellowing along the edges. The color of this print is excellent with no fading or discoloration. It would look beautiful framed with an acid-free mat and backing and I believe it would make a great addition to any collection of posters or military and historical items.
