    Description

    War of 1812 round cockade.
    This round, or rose cockade, is based on similar ones worn by the common soldiers as well as the general staff officers of the United States army during the War of 1812.
    It measures 4 1/2" in diameter per the May, 1st 1813 regulation uniform changes. These were worn on the left side of the individuals hat with a yellow or white metal eagle in the center. Embossed and constructed of heavy 7-8 ounce leather and hand trimmed around the edge. Each item is hand crafted individually and may be slightly different from the one pictured.
